Such substitution shall not constitute a valid reason for claiming reimbursement of the Sexology Course,  Supervision, or International Diploma in Clinical Sexology.
2.2.5 If you require assistance with any administrative matter, please get in touch with us using the contact details set out on our website, and we will do our best to help. We reserve the right to charge a reasonable fee for such administrative services, which we will notify you in writing beforehand.

IOSS is not responsible for the type of information being shared by them and trusts that the behavior of the Subscriber, User, Enrolled Participant, Speaker, Supervisor, and Supervisee complies with the laws applicable to their own jurisdiction.

2.4 SUBSCRIPTIONS

2.4.1 Subscription plans

Annual Subscription Plan: Subscribers who complete the subscription process choosing an annual plan will receive the subscription services for one year starting from the date of purchase, and will automatically renew unless and until the Subscriber cancels the subscription, or it is suspended or discontinued by IOSS. If the Subscriber cancels the annual subscription, they will continue to have access until the end of the current subscription period; they will not receive a refund and will not be billed for the next billing cycle.

Monthly Subscription Plan. The monthly subscription lasts for one month (30 days) starting on the date of purchase and will automatically renew unless and until the Subscriber cancels the subscription, or it is suspended or discontinued by IOSS. If the Subscriber cancels the monthly subscription, cancellation will be effective at the end of the current monthly period. The Subscriber will continue to have access to educational content for the remainder of that period, will not receive a refund, and will not be billed for the next billing cycle.

2.4.2 Subscription Services

Subscribers will have access to the services listed below, depending on whether they have an annual or monthly plan, as outlined on the Plans and Pricing page on the website.

  • Full access to Sexology Courses, a world-class collection of 100+ video lectures in clinical sexology (more than 150hours), taught by 65+ of the world’s best professionals in the field. The content can be viewed online through the IOSS website and is not downloadable.
  • Access to new educational content that is added frequently.
  • Possibility to earn ACCME and APA continuous education credits, as well as AASECT credits at no extra cost (AASECT credits are only included in the annual plan, not the monthly). The specific number of credits they can claim is that posted on the website. Subscribers claiming credits are solely and entirely responsible for carefully reading the learner notification, checking the expiry date by which they can apply for credits, and applying for the continuous education credits before that date. The learner notification is available on the website at the specific CE credit page. For any clarification, Subscribers are responsible for contacting IOSS administration well in advance of the final deadline to apply for the continuous education credits to allow sufficient time for inquiries and processing, and the final application for the credits within the deadline. For the avoidance of doubt, IOSS is not issuing the AACME and APA continuous education credits certificates itself; rather, it acts as an intermediary between the Subscriber and the relevant organization to facilitate the process of obtaining such credits.
  • Annual subscribers with an active account who wish to enroll in the International Diploma in Clinical Sexology and pay the registration fee through the IOSS website, are entitled to a deduction of the registration fee equal to the full amount they paid for their annual subscription.
  • Certificates of Learning Hours are available to annual plan subscribers based on the hours they spend watching video courses on the platform. These certificates can be requested up to three times a year by contacting IOSS. IOSS is not responsible for any discrepancies between reported viewing hours and actual hours spent on the platform. The hours are calculated by the platform’s tracking system, and their absolute accuracy cannot be guaranteed.
  • Customer service will be available to every Subscriber who contacts IOSS at no additional cost. Customer service will respond during business hours.
  • The Philomath Sexology Award is provided in electronic format with the Subscriber’s name and year of subscription at no additional cost. Subscribers on the annual plan will receive this at the start of their subscription period. Subscribers on the monthly plan will receive this after eight consecutive months of subscription.

2.5 ONDEMAND SERVICES FOR USERS

2.5.1 Users who purchase on-demand Sexology Courses accredited for AASECT, and/or APA, and/or ACCME credits, on an on-demand basis, will have access to the specific content for one year starting from the date of purchase. Access to accredited courses is provided online through the IOSS Website and is not downloadable.

2.5.2 Users purchasing on-demand accredited Sexology Courses that provide the possibility to claim continuous education credits are themselves solely and entirely responsible for carefully reading the learner notification, checking the date until which they can apply for credits (expiry date) and applying for the continuous education credits before that date. For any clarification, Users are responsible for contacting IOSS administration well in advance of the final date for applying for the continuous education credits to allow sufficient time for any clarifications and final application for the credits within the deadline. For the avoidance of doubt, IOSS is not issuing the continuous education credits certificates itself; it is rather simply acting as an intermediary between the User and the relevant organization to facilitate the process for obtaining such credits.

2.6. On-Demand Services for Supervisees

2.6.1 Supervisees can schedule supervision sessions by paying the required fee via the website portal.
2.6.2 Supervision sessions are not recorded and cannot be recorded by supervisees for any reason.
2.6.3 Supervisees are responsible for verifying the correct time and date of scheduled sessions, as well as any relevant instructions through the website and/or email communication from IOSS. The website is synchronized with the Supervisee’s local computer time. However, supervisees should double-check the time conversion to ensure accuracy.
2.6.4 Supervisions are scheduled on weekdays and within the European and US time zones.
2.6.5 IOSS will send detailed attendance instructions to all attendees before the supervision sessions.

2.7. On-Demand Services for Enrolled Participants

2.7.1 Enrolled participants in the International Diploma in Clinical Sexology must pay the fee prior to their enrollment. This fee covers access to all sexology courses available on the website, eight coupons providing a 100% discount on four individual and four group supervision sessions provided by IOSS, access to exams, and the certification fee within one year of enrollment.
2.7.2. Participants enrolling in the International Diploma in Clinical Sexology may be licensed healthcare professionals, including physicians, psychologists, clinical social workers, nurses, counselors, or other relevant professionals, as long as they are authorized to provide healthcare services in their country. IOSS is not responsible for verifying the licensure status of participants. It is solely the individual’s responsibility to ensure they hold the necessary licensing. By enrolling, the participant affirms that they meet this requirement.
2.7.3 The enrolled participant will be awarded the Diploma in Clinical Sexology after completing the classes of the core curriculum, viewing a minimum of 10 viewing hours of the supplemental curriculum, completing four group and four individual supervision sessions, and successfully passing the exam within one year of enrollment.
2.7.4 The total study time estimation reported on the Diploma includes approximately one-third additional hours beyond the requirements of the training program, to encompass independent study and exam preparation.
2.7.5 The viewing hours of each enrolled participant are based on IOSS’s tracking system. IOSS is not responsible for discrepancies between reported viewing hours and actual hours spent on the platform; the hours are calculated by the platform’s tracking system, and their absolute accuracy cannot be guaranteed. Enrolled participants are advised to regularly contact IOSS to request a check of their viewing hours.
2.7.6 Enrolled participants are expected to schedule their supervision sessions well in advance of the end of the enrollment year. It is their responsibility to act promptly, review available times and dates, and schedule sessions accordingly. Coupons that are not used within the program’s time frame will be cancelled and will not be transferred to a later time.
2.7.7 Individuals who do not pass sections of the exam can retake them an unlimited number of times within the program’s timeframe.
2.7.8 Enrolled participants will not have access to the sexology courses, exams, or supervision coupons after one year from the date of enrollment. Those wishing to extend their training may do so upon payment of a fee, as determined by IOSS.
2.7.9 The enrolled participant will have access to all Sexology Courses available on the website for one year after enrollment.
2.7.10 The enrolled participant will be eligible to claim AASECT and ACCME credits. They are solely responsible for carefully reviewing the information provided on the website regarding requirements, deadlines, and procedures, or contacting IOSS by email for clarification. The enrolled participant that wishes to claim credits must check the expiry date by which credits must be applied for and submit their applications before that date. For any clarification, they are responsible for contacting the IOSS administration well in advance of the final deadline to allow sufficient time for inquiries and processing. For clarity, IOSS does not issue the ACCME and APA continuous education credits certificates itself; it acts solely as an intermediary between the participant and the relevant organization to facilitate the process.

2.10.1 Subscriptions and on-demand purchases of access to Sexology Courses, and enrollment in the International Diploma in Clinical Sexology are non-refundable. IOSS will not provide refunds for partially unused subscription periods, for not-watched Sexology Courses purchased on demand, or to account for different expectations of Users, Subscribers, or Enrolled Participants in relation to the Sexology Courses (we strongly recommend reviewing the available video trailers before purchasing).

We will notify Supervisees of any such changes as soon as possible.
