Laura Scarrone Bonhomme(she/her) is an HCPC-registered Clinical Psychologist, multi-award-winning author, and internationally recognised gender specialist with 15+ years’ experience across the UK, Chile, Spain, and Andorra.
She has supported over 1,000 transgender and non-binary people. Laura co-founded Affirm (www.affirm.lgbt), an online training platform dedicated supporting clinicians provide gender-affirming care, having trained over 450+ clinicians globally. She has collaborated with organisations like the United Nations and University College London.
A leading advocate for LGBTQI+ rights, she serves on British Psychological Society’s (BPS) GDSR committee and is a BAGIS, WPATH & EPATH member. Author of 20+ publications, her book ‘Gender Affirming Therapy: A Guide to What Transgender and Non-Binary Clients Can Teach Us’ won the American Psychological Association Division 44 2025 Distinguished Book Award and the BPS’ 2025 Best Practitioner Text.
